‘Man of Steel’ star has revealed that there will be no show from the caped hero Superman in the upcoming DC supervillains film “Suicide Squad.”
The 32-year-old actor, who essays the role of the iconic superhero, said he “might” appear in the sequel, reported Ace Showbiz. “No,” Cavill said, when he was asked if Superman would make an appearance.
When quizzed about the sequel of the supervillian movie, he enthusiastically said,”I might be!” However, “Sucide Squad” which is mainly set in Gotham City will for sure see Batman (Ben Affleck) making an appearance as his arch nemesis the Joker (Jared Leto) is one of the main characters in the movie.
Based on DC comic books, the film revolves around imprisoned villains recruited by a government agency to perform black operations in exchange for clemency.
The cast includes the likes of Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis,
Adam Beach and Ike Barinholtz. Directed by David Ayer, the movie is scheduled for August, 2016 release.
