Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter has lost a big chunk of screens to Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which pretty much narrates the story. The film has underperformed a big time but is still managing to add some exciting feats in the kitty during the worldwide box office journey. In the latest development, it has crossed Akshay Kumar’s second highest-grossing film of all-time. Keep reading to know more!

Reception of Fighter

Directed by Siddharth Anand, the action drama was released on 25th January and received mostly positive reviews from critics. Even though the audience feedback was in favor, the film failed to penetrate the mass centers and beyond big metro cities. As a result, the expected box office outcome has not been achieved.

Fighter at the worldwide box office

Coming to the latest collection update, Fighter has attained a score of 190 crores net at the Indian box office in 15 days. In gross, it equals 224.20 crores. In the overseas market, the film is already a huge success, with its current total standing at 90 crores gross. Combining both gross collections, the total stands at 314.20 crores gross at the worldwide box office.

Surpasses Akshay Kumar’s Good Newwz!

With 314.20 crores gross, the Hrithik Roshan starrer has surpassed the global lifetime of Good Newwz (311.27 crores gross). For those who don’t know, Good Newwz is Akshay Kumar’s second highest-grossing film at the worldwide box office. The next target for Fighter is Akshay’s highest-grossing film of all time, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (316.61 crores gross).

The magnum opus will also cross Ranbir Kapoor-Deepika Padukone’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (318 crores gross) and Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif’s Ek Tha Tiger (320 crores gross).

More about Fighter

After the super success of Bang Bang and War, Fighter marked the third collaboration between Hrithik Roshan and director Siddharth Anand. Even though it surpassed Bang Bang’s 181.03 crores (Indian lifetime), the film has still not emerged as a success due to its huge budget.
