While critics panned ‘All Is Well’ and called it ‘unfunny’ and ‘unbearable’, ‘Manjhi’ was appreciated for its script, however, with certain flaws.
It was a gala time at the box office last week with Dharma Productions and Fox Star Studios’ ‘Brothers’, but this week’s releases – ‘All Is Well’ and ‘Manjhi – The Mountain Man’ – have had a rather disappointing stay at the ticket windows. Both are off to a dismal start with the collections summing up to less than Rs 11 cr.

‘All Is Well’ starring Abhishek Bachchan, Asin, Rishi Kapoor and Supriya Pathak opened to Rs 2.90 cr and saw a minor jump and collected Rs 3.98 cr on Saturday (August 23). The total collections now are Rs 6.88 cr.

Also read – All Is Well review ‘Manjhi – The Mountain Man’, a hard hitting biopic based on the true story of Dasrath Manjhi, who took on a mountain for the womn he loved, managed to only draw Rs 1.40 cr on its opening day. Its two day collections now stand at Rs 3.65 cr.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte were praised for their effortless portrayals of the characters. Indian Express’ critic Shubhra Gupta gave ‘All Is Well’ half stars and ‘Manjhi’ two stars.
Last week’s ‘Brothers’ starring Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez is still going strong at the Box Office and has amassed over Rs 70 cr at the ticket window.
