It’s been a successful year for Prabhas as he delivered the blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD. All eyes are on his next film, Spirit with Sandeep Reddy Vanga. His birthday arrived with a huge surprise for fans as Salaar and some other films were re-released in theatres. Unfortunately, the box office response wasn’t as expected. Scroll below for a detailed analysis.

On October 23, three of Prabhas’ films were released in theatres – Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire (2023), Mr. Perfect (2011), and Eeswar (2002). His fandom is widespread, and after the super success of Kalki 2898 AD, one expected the theatres to be bombarded. While his loyal fan base did increase the footfalls, at a larger level, there was little interest.

Prabhas’ Birthday re-releases at the box office

The exact figures have not been revealed, but as per Track Tollywood, the films made an average box office collection. There remained little curiosity around the old films. With a moderate occupancy and limited houseful shows, Salaar, Mr. Perfect, and Eeswar remained underwhelming in Indian theatres.

Pawan Kalyan continues to dominate

The trend of re-releases in South cinema began after Murari smashed records at the box office. It was the highest-grosser among South re-releases. But Pawan Kalyan‘s Gabbar Singh later stole the top spot, which surpassed the Mahesh Babu starrer on its opening day.

Unfortunately, Prabhas’ stardom failed to achieve these milestones.

Prabhas upcoming movies

On the occasion of his 45th birthday, The Raja Saab poster was unveiled by the makers. The romantic-horror comedy will feature our Darling actor opposite Niddhi Agerwal and Malvika Mohanan. Directed by Maruthi, the film is scheduled to be released in theatres on April 10, 2025.

Prabhas also has Kalki 2898 AD sequel in the pipeline, along with Salaar Part 2 and Fauji.
