Aamir Khan Accepts He Made Mistakes In Laal Singh Chaddha: “Emotionally, I’m Hurt That The Film Has Not Worked”

Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha was released in 2022. The film is a remake of Tom Hanks’ 1994 Hollywood film, Forrest Gump. The Hindi remake, directed by Advait Chauhan, also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, Naga Chaitanya, Manav Vij, Ahman Ibn Umar and others. When the film was announced, fans were excited to see the Hindi remake on the big screen. However, it didn’t receive the desired response when it was released.

Despite many positive reviews from critics, the audience didn’t appreciate the Aamir Khan starrer. The film failed to do a decent collection at the box office. It is very rare for an Aamir starrer to perform poorly at the box office. After all, he’s called the Mr Perfectionist of the Hindi film industry. After the film didn’t do well, there were reports of how the superstar was affected by the film’s unexpected reception.

Now, Aamir has opened up about how truly he was affected when Laal Singh Chaddha didn’t do well. In an interview with ABP News, Khan said that everyone had worked hard for the film, and it didn’t do well. After a long time, his movie didn’t work well. So his friends and family kept checking on him, asking him if he was okay. The superstar said that he was receiving a lot of love after a flop. He also finds it quite funny.

Further, Aamir Khan shared, “The serious side is, failure teaches you where you’ve made mistakes. It gives you an opportunity to understand what those mistakes were. I gave it a lot of thought, it was a big learning for me. I remember telling Kiran once, ‘I made so many mistakes in this film on so many levels. Thank God I made these mistakes in just one film.’ Emotionally, I’m hurt that the film has not worked. I’ve taken time to absorb the grief.”

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan’s next is Sitare Zameen Par, which is said to have a similar theme to his directorial debut film, Taare Zameen Par. The film is a remake of the 2018 Spanish film, Campeones. The RS Prasanna directorial will also star Genelia D’Souza.
