First couple of Indian Television Nahar and Saloni sacrifice their New Years celebrations for the sake of humanity
It’s the last week of December and the ‘Jingle bells and New Year bells’ are ringing all the way. The year 2008 is ending and everyone’s excited about welcoming 2009.
Unfortunately, the year 2008 witnessed many unwanted and uncalled for incidents. Needless to say, the shadow of such incidents are going to be with us for a long time.
Here’s what our favourite tele-couple has to talk about celebrating the new year eve.
“We will be going to Goa but will not celebrating or partying this New Year. Goa, as it is in a high security state level with all the beach and cruise parties cancelled,” feels a low sounding Sharad Kelkar (Nahar of Saat Phere). “I am looking forward for a quite and peaceful dinner on 31st night and would pray to God for the security and prosperity of each and every Indian”, he adds.
Similar is the case with Rajshree Thakur, a ka Saloni of “Saat Phere” who feels this new year is going to be like any other normal day. “I will be having a quite and peaceful dinner as I always have on every 31st night. I believe in the theory of sleeping early and getting up early, so like any other day, on 31st too ill eat, and sleep early and get up early.”
She further adds, “The intention behind this is not to party late and get up late on the first day of a new year. The first rays of the sun on the first day of a new year should be seen and felt by every individual. I feel I get positive energy from such positive thinking.”
We are sure Nahar and Saloni’s prayers will be fulfilled and we would have a real fun-filled year ahead!
