Perizaad Zorabian didn’t say no to Bollywood. The one-time model made her mark with Nagesh Kukunoor’s ‘Bollywood Calling’. She has now got Mukta Arts’ Hinglish film, ‘Jogger’s Park’ of Subhash Ghai. Perizaad says, “Jogger’s Park is an 80 per cent Hindi film. It marks my entry into Hindi filmdom. It’s a thriller. I play this bubbly girl, Jennie, who won’t allow anyone to mess around with her. She meets people from all spheres of life in the park, and that’s where the adventure unfolds.” Perizaad is cast opposite newcomer Khalid. Actually she has maximum scenes with the veteran Victor Banerjee. She is stuck with veterans. “In ‘Bollywood Calling’ there was Om Puri and I’ll be doing a film with Shabana Azmi soon. In ‘Mumbai Matinee’, my co-star is Rahul Bose.” Her real foray into Bollywood happens with Tanuja Chandra’s untitled film, which is a comedy starring five heroines. But she is happy the way things have shaped up and feel proud of working with good filmmakers.
