The Love Guru has stirred complaints by Hindu groups in India. Rajan Zed, who is president of the Universal Society of Hinduism, said the movie “appears to be lampooning Hinduism.” Duh, that’s what comedies do.
Mumbai-based Paramount Films of India is considering making some changes to the film before submitting it for censor clearance.
It’s a shame when people take themselves so seriously, they can’t allow anyone to make a joke at their expense. If everyone was that way, there would be very little comedy.
