Remember, the 1969 Yash Chopra’s classic thriller Ittefaq? Well, you can now relive the film as it is being remade by Abhay Chopra, Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar.
That’s not it. The film will have Sidharth Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles. An icing on the cake, right? Sidharth is known for his acting and powerful action scenes and to add a feminine flavour to the film, Sonakshi is perfect.
Ittefaq revolved around an artist who is arrested for the murder of his wife whom he had thrown off in a moment of frustrated rage when she distracts him from his painting and stormed out of the house.
Abhay Chopra’s Ittefaq is currently in prep and the reading sessions with the lead actors will begin soon.
The makers have changed the climax of the film. Of course, it is a smart move to keep the audience engrossed for a new twist.
The film is produced by Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar and Abhay’s brother Kapil. The big names are attached to the film, so we can definitely expect a mind blowing plot.
